Tour The Planets!

Space, the final frontier, these are the voyages that your youngster can take thanks to the fine folks at Yakima Valley Libraries as well as the Seattle's Museum of Flight! This out of this world event is  coming up on Tuesday and Wednesday (August 12th and 13th) both starting at 10:30a and expected to go until 11:15a. Your youngster, or young at heart will be able to go on an interactive tour of the Solar System, all from the comfort of their own home and computer.

Who hasn't looked outside at the night sky and wondered how a star is created? Why does Saturn have rings? Why does the constellation of Orion have a belt but no pants? Is the moon really made of cheese? What does Uranus smell like? Well now you can ask those questions (maybe better questions than those last 3) and get real answers and be entertained as well in this virtual at home planetarium via YouTube Live!

According to Yakima Valley Libraries Facebook Events Page: "During this interactive show, YOU decide where the outer space exploration will take us. Curious about constellations? Wondering about Mars's solar winds? Ask these questions, and more as we explore the solar system in real time."

The interactive planetarium is designed for participants in grades 3 through 8, and the event is free, but make sure you per-register because space is limited!
