More COVID-19 vaccines are arriving every week in Yakima County but still not enough to open a mass site at Yakima's State Fair Park. Yakima County continues to operate in Phase 1B Tier 1 of COVID-19 vaccination. This week the county received 12, 350 doses of the vaccine which includes 9,050 first doses and 3,300 second doses. That's a big increase in doses after the county received an average of 3,000 to 5,000 doses over the last month. Yakima Health District officials say if you are searching for a vaccine you first need to determine if you are eligible by going to the website findyourphasewa.org. If you don't have internet access you can call the COVID-19 Hotline to get help in scheduling a COVID-19 vaccine. The number is 1-800-525-0127. Nathan Johnson a local Emergency Response Coordinator says “We are excited to receive an increase number of COVID-19 vaccines this week. However, we have still not received enough vaccine allocation to supplement both our partners and the mass vaccination site at the Yakima State Fair Park. In the coming weeks, we hope to continue seeing an increase in the number of vaccines Yakima County receives.”
Health officials say currently there are 12 different locations scheduling for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Yakima Valley.

Officials at the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce are holding a mask giveaway Thursday and Friday at the chamber offices from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day. The chamber is located at 10 North 9th Street in Yakima. Masks are available for individuals or business owners who need masks for customers.

Heritage Distillery in Roslyn has donated a pallet of hand sanitizer to the chamber and they're giving it away for free. If you own a business and need hand sanitizer call the chamber at 248-2021.
