Triplelupa Tacos Are Coming to Yakima Valley Taco Bells
I am one of Taco Bell's hugest fans. BIGLY.
I pretty much love all things taco, whether it's authentic, Tex-Mex, or any American fast-food taco chain. I even have an "honorary doctorate" in Taco studies from Taco Time's Twitter page (that's why I make people address me "Dr. Reesha," ha-ha). They said I am now eligible to teach General Taco Studies in high school. Watch out, Davis High!
I love tacos so much that I even have an autographed copy of the children's book by Daniel Salmieri, Dragons Love Tacos 2 -- The Sequel.
When I was pregnant nine years ago, my cravings were only for Taco Bell. Thankfully, they have a 24-hour drive-through, so I was able to hop in the car and go get myself some Taco Bell no matter the time of day. I went to Taco Bell so much that by the time my daughter Willow was born, I was on a first-name basis with all the drive-through employees.
I mostly craved the Mexican Pizza, but once they released the Chalupa, I was in foodie heaven. I tried the Chicken Chalupa, but discovered that the Beef Chalupa was my favorite item on the menu next to the Value Menu's Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito.
According to a news release, Taco Bell announced the tempting Triplelupa is available beginning March 12*, and they claim this is their largest-shelled taco ever. It costs $3.49 (plus tax, duh) and contains three "mini" chalupa shells in one whole taco (which you can pull apart). Each mini chalupa has its own sauce flavor, ranging from nacho cheese, cheesy chipotle and regular old chipotle. (I hope that we can mix and match 'em up to our liking, because what if I don't want the regular old chipotle sauce?)
I am kind of torn right now because I am really trying to lose some weight, so I'm not sure if I will be trying out the "Tempting Triplelupa," as I like to call it.
I have a feeling that I will soon I'll be having a diet cheat day so that I can try one of these new Triplelupa Tacos without the guilt!
