Toss These 3 McCormick Seasonings in the TRASH to Avoid Poisoning
You might want to check your spice rack and see if you've got one of these recalled McCormick Seasonings in there. If so, get rid of it because it could be spiked with salmonella! When I say spiked I don't mean "spiked" like somebody deliberately put it in there, I just mean it might contain some salmonella traces and you don't want to find out the hard way! Avoid potential food poisoning by tossing these three McCormick Seasonings in the trash!
The three seasonings standing in the spotlight for this recall are:
Fortunately, I don't have any of these. I don't even buy Italian seasoning anymore. I just use oregano, rosemary, parsley, and garlic powder if I want to have a taste of Italy. I also don't buy buffalo ranch anything anymore. I somehow got burnt out on buffalo-ranch flavored foods. I guess I've had too many buffalo chicken wings at tailgate parties!
KAPP TV has the scoop on this recall but I first saw it mentioned in the WTF Just Happened in Yakima Facebook Group. If you have one of the recalled seasonings between June 20 and July 21, of course throw it away, but I would also see if the grocery store you purchased them from will issue you a raincheck or exchange for a different type of seasoning. (I've never tried that before, but I've never asked either. It's worth a shot!)
You can also call or email McCormick's Seasonings headquarters and ask to speak to a manager to get your money back on the product(s), but please be nice about it. Nobody likes a Karen!
