Verlynn Best is very frustrated as the CEO of The Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce after the governor announced COVID-19 restrictions on Sunday. The restrictions says best will force many local businesses to close. She says she's heard from some local business owners in tears and not knowing what to do to survive. Hundreds of businesses were close to failing during the last lockdown and now for many Best says this is the nail in the coffin or the last blow to business.

Best says she's all for protecting people and wearing a mask but she says the numbers in Yakima don't show any outbreaks at bars and restaurants that will be forced to close doors on Wednesday.
Best is meeting with local and state health officials today to further talk about the restrictions that will be in place until December 14. Best will talk more about the restrictions at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday on KIT.
