I got hit by an uninsured driver a couple of months ago and I am still paying the price. Thankfully, my car insurance rates did not go up and my deductible would have only been $25 because of Washington state's Uninsured Motorist laws! I say "would have only been $25" because after I took my car to a local auto body shop for a repair quote, my insurance company said my car was a total loss.

Noooo!

I was excited to hear the news at first because all I could see were dollar signs! I was going to get some money for my old clunker and then I could go buy a new one and keep my old car, too, and resell it or save it as a backup car. What I did not know is that if your car is declared a total loss, the insurance company takes over the title of your car. That means you don't get to keep your car.

Noooo!

I am going to make a deal and pocket the cash and save up for a couple of months so I can make a hefty downpayment on a great used AWD car, so now here's where YOU come in. I need some recommendations on local used car dealerships with a sturdy car for under $6,000. Is that even possible to find anymore, because I've heard that the prices of used cars have exploded due to the high demand during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Which one of these car lots has the best deals?
