I can smell those sweet smells already! If you like authentic cajun food, you are going to LOVE a new food truck that opens in Kennewick near Dicks Sporting Goods in the Columbia Center Mall parking lot.

Crawfish to beignets to po'boy sandwiches, it's all there at Bayou Some Cajun'.

Here is the story behind the new food truck:

‘Bayou Some Cajun’ is authentic New Orleans Cajun food. New Orleans native, Anthony Federico, and 20-year head chef Brian Hanlon are sharing family recipes to bring the dynamic culture and culinary flavor of New Orleans to the Tri-Cities.

The BBQ shrimp, a Louisiana favorite, is comprised of fresh herbs from around the world. Thyme, basil, rosemary, and other cajun seasonings, served with a fresh dipping bread to soak up all the deliciousness.

A 60-year family recipe passed down from Federico’s grandfather. And if you ask anyone in New Orleans what kind of hot sausage they use on their po-boy sandwiches, they will all tell you the one kind of sausage we use in ours. One that only comes straight from Louisiana. Patton's sausage.

Another cajun staple. But, let’s not forget about dessert! Beignets at Cafe Du Monde are famous. We’re sharing our take of them with you.

Filled with chocolate ganache and lightly dusted with powdered sugar. Owners Karyn Connors and Anthony Federico are excited to offer something new, fresh and delicious to the Tri-Cities.

The truck is going to be open Tuesday through Saturday 11 AM - 2 PM. You can also order online here and the truck hopes to expand into dinner hours in the near future.
