Yakima Sunfair Parade Awards Announced
Did you attend the Sunfair Parade last Saturday? The Yakima Sunfair Parade Board has announced winners of this year’s parade in a variety of categories.
Sunfair officials say the selections were made by the Yakima Sunfair Board members and local community leaders.
The Sunfair Board president says he was impressed with the effort
"We had a lot of fantastic entries this year." says Paul Crawford, 2022 Sunfair Parade President. "One standout was the The Northern Pacific Railway Museum entry. This was their first Sunfair Parade and they drove at 40 MPH to get here in their antique delivery vehicle pulling a pump-car. I appreciated their hard-work to bring us something a lot of us have never seen before."
What's next? The Yakima Holiday Light Parade
Now it's back to work. The Sunfair Parade Board now begins to focus on the annual Holiday Lighted Parade on Sunday, December 4th.
"Information will be available soon at www.YakimaParades.com Winners may pick up their awards at Yakima Federal Savings and Loan located at 118 E. Yakima Ave. or email YakimaParades@gmail.com and make other arrangements."
