Relay For Life at West Valley High School was a huge success on Saturday (June 24). People came out in droves with the spirit of celebrating life and honoring those we have lost to the battle of cancer. It isn't easy losing someone to such a thing.

Every day the world loses someone to this battle. My mom died from bone cancer that started as breast cancer. Research is being done every day to find ways to stop this dreadful disease. Every year there is a relay to honor those we have lost and to celebrate the lives that have been saved. I wish my mom were one of those.

This year's relay was at West Valley High School and it was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who participated.
