Yakima Church Hosting Free Back-to-School Bash

They say that it takes a village to raise a child, and in today’s world, that village is our friends, neighbors, and our community. And with everything happening in our lives that seems so non-stop, things that should be simple, like getting ready for back to school, become an even bigger hassle. Luckily, there are groups in our community that are taking notice and helping out.

We recently we told you about the Salvation Army’s Back To School event that took place on Wednesday, July 29th, and now we have word of another one coming up, this time, this free event will be hosted by Changing Pointe Church.

Shine Bright, Live Bold, with GLOW Back To School Bash

Not only is this an event to help get kids ready to get back to school, but it’s a way to help wrap up your summer with food, music, games and activities, plus free haircuts and backpack giveaways!

The GLOW Back To School Bash is happening on Saturday, August 15th, kicking off at 3 pm, with a night of worship starting at 6 pm, all at Changing Pointe Church, located at 1510 S. 36th Avenue in Yakima.

Local barbers and stylists will be there giving haircuts to boys and girls, hot dogs, bouncy houses, a dunk tank, field games, free backpacks (while supplies last), prizes, and other giveaways at this free Glow Worship event!
