People go to Perry Technical Institute to start new careers or to change careers. Perry Tech offers regular open house times where future students can get information on the school's 13 programs and talk to instructors who help students become medical assistant, learn electrical technology or even welding technology.

The next open house is Wednesday (March 3) from 4:30-7 p.m. Perry Tech is easy to find. It's at 2011 W. Washington Ave., right across from the airport in Yakima. They'll even help students out with financial aid information.

Meantime, students from the construction, electrical, HVAC/R and plumbing programs are building a house that is valued at about $350,000. This house is being raffled off from Perry Tech. Tickets are $100 each. All ticket sales go toward Perry Technical Foundation scholarships. If you would like to purchase a ticket, call (509) 453-0374.
