As a kid who grew up with both of my parents working for the school district and one being a teacher, it's no easy task. You go out of your way for your kids, even reaching into your own pocket to pay for things that should be provided to do your job. Yakima Shipping Shop has stepped up to offer help and assistance during this time.

Yakima Shipping Shop has set up a Teaching From Home account with $1,000 in it. This is to be used by all teachers who may need help in getting envelopes or to use as postage to mail out homework packets. They've also set it up for 10,000 copies (black and white) to use as needed. First come, first served.

The Teaching From Home account is only to be used for mailing services and envelopes. Sorry, Teachers, no wine. darn.

To take advantage of this, go to Yakima Shipping Shop (40th and Summitview) with your school ID and mention it's under the Teaching From Home account. They'll know exactly what you're talking about.

Yakima Shipping Shop is a local business I personally use regularly. They're a great group of people and great staff and are definitely 'I Heart Yakima' in our community. Definitely worth visiting whether you're a teacher to print out materials or if you wanted to purchase local wine and cider to ship across the country, they can make it happen.

Follow them on Facebook for more info.
