First You Get the Books, Then You Get the Power! Saturday (Aug. 24)

Calling all teachers! No strings attached! Goodwill wants to hook up teachers for the upcoming school year with FREE books for your classrooms!!

This is a HUGE annual event that is taking place Saturday (Aug. 24) between 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Goodwill store in Selah, 503 S. First St.!

Not in this area? There are two other locations on the other side of the mountains :)

• Tacoma 38th Street Store: 3121 S. 38th St.
• Olympia Outlet Store: 4014 Martin Way East.

More than 50,000 books will be available, and in years past hundreds of teachers have taken advantage!

Goodwill realizes there is a huge need for age-appropriate books for elementary school students as well as middle school students. The mixture of books ranges from picture books to educational, chapter and craft books! Also featuring young adult series for the older students.

This is what a release from Goodwill stated:

Teachers and educators will be able to take up to 50 books each to stock their classrooms for the coming year.  They will also be given a coupon to shop at Goodwill for any last minute classroom needs, and free book coupons to give to each of their students – extending the reach of our community event.

A huge shout-out goes to the Goodwills of our area for realizing the need and taking this on. There have been over 100,000 books for teachers distributed in the past so please take advantage and let's stock those classrooms :)
