Ready, Set, READ!  If you love to read you'll want to consider the Yakima Valley Libraries’ adult Winter Reading Challenge. The idea is to nudge adult readers readers to explore new book genres, try diverse authors, or simply re-discover favorite books—all while earning a chance to win prizes for reading.

The challenge is like playing a game of bingo. Instead of calling out a random number, readers fill in a "reading bingo card" available from any Yakima Valley Libraries location, or at www.yvl.org/winter to print one at home.

Instead of number, each square on the board has a different category for types of books, such as “Award Winner,” “Genre You Don’t Usually Read,” or “Out of Your Comfort Zone.”  So after reading or listening to a book that matches a specific category, you fill in that square.

For every bingo you complete during the Challenge, you earn an entry into a prize drawing.

The Winter Reading Challenge ends on Sunday, March 31st. For more information, including complete instructions, printable game cards, suggested book lists, and the list of prizes, visit www.yvl.org/winter.
