Yakima Police say a 16-year-old student who was shot died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Tuesday night. The student, who police believe was not affiliated with a gang was shot multiple times in the legs and chest.

Yakima Police have arrested a 15-year-old as a suspect in the shooting of the two students Tuesday outside Eisenhower High School. Capt. Jay Seely says the shooting was reported at about 3:00 pm Tuesday in the parking lot of the school at 40th and Tieton. An 18-year-old student was also shot in the wrist. He was treated and released from a Yakima hospital Tuesday.

Police didn't release details about the arrest of the 15-year-old suspect

Officers arrested the 15-year-old suspect on Tuesday night. Capt. Jay Seely says the suspect face a charge of Second Degree Murder, 9 counts of First Degree Assault and Unlawful possession of a firearm. He's being held in the Yakima County Juvenile Jail. He's expected to be in juvenile court Wednesday afternoon.

No identities have been released. Police believe the shooting was gang related. Police say they are not looking for any other suspects.
After the shooting Eisenhower was locked down including nearby Wilson and Whitney Elementary Schools. Memorial Hospital also was locked down during the incident.
Parents and guardians were asked to pick up students at nearby Whitney Elementary located at 4411 W Nob Hill Blvd.

More officers will be seen at both Davis and Eisenhower High Schools

School continues Wednesday at Eisenhower High School but students will see more police officers at Ike and Davis High Schools.
Police have not identified the students who were injured and they're not saying whether the two students were standing in the parking lot or were actually involved in the altercation.

Before Tuesday's shooting police were busy with another shooting

Yakima Police have identified the victim of a gang related shooting on Sunday as 42-year-old Jeremy Uvalle of Yakima. He remains in critical condition after being shot in a gang related drive-by shooting in the 1300 block of West Lincoln Avenue early Sunday morning. Police found the 42-year-old man, a known gang member in the home with a gunshot wound to his head. Officers and paramedics helped the man before he was transported to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. He was then transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he remains in critical condition.
