Ever been watching a football game and say to yourself, "Heck! I could play better than that!"? Well, the Yakima Canines football team is giving you a chance to prove it when they hold their open tryouts.

Via a post on their official website (GoCanineFootball.com), Head Coach Warren Reynolds will, along with Assistant Coach Michael Foster and the rest of the Canines coaching staff, will hold the open tryout on Saturday, February 13th, 2021 at the Yakima Athletic Club (located at 2501 Racquet Lane) from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Participants must be registered and paid up before the tryout begins. Cost is $65 and registration must be completed on-line. The team asks that anyone wishing to give it a shot to make the team wear black shorts, sweats and turf shoes. T-shirts will be provided to all attendees.

The team recently released their upcoming 2021 schedule which will be their inaugural season in the American West Football Conference (AWFC). The Canines are slated to open up the year on Sunday, May 9th against the Tri-Cities Rush. All Canines home games will be played at State Fair Park inside the Yakima Valley SunDome.
