Your car is your day lodge. That's the message from White Pass Ski Area General Manager Kevin McCarthy talking about COVID-19 restrictions at the ski area this winter. During an Instagram live post on Thursday McCarthy explained the plan for the season and answered a host of questions about operations. The lower level of the day lodge will be open for bathrooms and rental equipment. The front door of the lodge will remain locked with timed reservations for food and beverage in the main part of the lodge and at the High Camp lodge. There's also a grill located on the lodge deck and grab and go woodfired pizza in an old engine room near the lodge.
No reservations are needed but online ticket sales may be limited on busy days. No child care will be available this year.
McCarthy says the bottom line is be flexible and be ready to work with the rules to keep the ski area open and COVID free.
