2021 is finally (four months in) starting to give me hope! One of the major things I was looking forward to in 2020 was some of the toy & comic book conventions. Yes, some would say I'm getting too old for it, but you only as old as you feel. For example, when I'm laughing out loud while watching Teen Titans Go To The Movies (if you have not watched it, trust me, it's like a giant parody of all super hero movies), I feel like a kid again! So when I heard the news about Washington State Toy Show & Washington State Almost Summer Con was happening on May 7th & 8th, my inner child started running around like a 3 year old on a Pepsi & Snickers binge!

A Facebook post from Washington State Summer Con's page shared the good news, how the original Summer Con (which was canceled last year, due to obvious reasons) was still on the calendar for June 18th-20th, but they are adding an appetizer of an event along side the Washington State Toy Show! The event is taking place at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup on May 7th & 8th. Many vendors and great guests will be in attendance, including voice actor Greg Cipes (Teen Titans, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Robot Chicken, Lego Dimensions) & the one and only, WWE Superstar Sgt. Slaughter!

Tickets are on sale now & range from $5 to $25 depending on the day and time frame you plan to attend. More details can be found at WaToyShow.com. According to the original Facebook post: All current Washington State, Pierce County, and Washington State Fair COVID protocols will be enforced and used in preparation for this event for the safety of our sellers, attendees, and staff. Masks must be worn at all times.

It's time to nerd out once again!
