The National Weather Service indicates there will be a chance of a little bit of everything from sunshine, snow, wintery mix, rain, and all the while warming up a bit from where temperatures have been all week. Here's their forecast:

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 36. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 17. Light and variable wind.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 38. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow before 7 pm, then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. Northwest wind 3 to 5 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: A chance of snow before 10 am, then a slight chance of rain and snow between 10 am and 1 pm, then a slight chance of rain after 1 pm. Snow level rising to 2200 feet in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. The chance of precipitation is 40%.

Will it Snow in the Washington Mountain Passes This Weekend?

One should expect some encounters with snow and winter weather in the Washington mountain passes this weekend, including some typically windy conditions at times. According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, here's what is forecast on Snoqualmie Pass:

Friday: Sunny. High near 33, with temperatures falling to around 27 in the afternoon. Wind chill values as low as -2. East southeast wind 10 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 16. Wind chill values as low as 0. East southeast wind 16 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Saturday

Saturday: Snow likely after 10 am. Partly sunny, with a high near 33. East southeast wind 18 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches is possible.

Saturday Night: Snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches is possible.

Sunday: Snow before 1 pm, then rain likely between 1 pm and 4 pm, then a chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is possible.
