The other day I found myself at Bron Yr Brewery in Naches. They have great beer, great pizza but figured I'd grab chips and salsa, though my eyes were drawn to the Tillamook Cheddar Jalapeno dip as listed on their menu. Figured I'd give it a shot.

I was actually slightly confused when they first brought it out. Most of the time when you get a cheese dip, it's a melty pool of magmatic cheese, free-floating in a cup perfect for dipping and dunking chips, pretzels and whatever else you may have on hand. I'm a sucker for cheese dipping sauce. This, however, wasn't a sauce. It wasn't even warm. It was just, like finely shredded cheese kind of tossed with a cheese and jalapeno sauce or something. I couldn't quite place my finger on what it was, exactly.

I can tell you, though, my mind was blown on how good it was.

It was actually perfect for the hot day we had when I was here. It was slightly chilled and paired with the tortilla chips it worked out great! I can't wait to go back for more.

I found this at Bron Yr Brewery in Naches but wonder if other places around Yakima do something similar, too.
