What breed of dog is the most spoiled in the U.S.? The state of Washington? We have the answer. Now, here comes the science!

The dog and cat loving folks at Yappy.com studied 300 popular dog breeds and over 450,000 individual dog profiles to determine the most spoiled breed of dog that gets the "ulti-mutt" treatment by individual states as well as the top dog across the entire United States "pup-ulation".

After collecting their data, they determined that the Dobermann is "the most spoiled dog breed in the US and the most likely to be lavished with treats by their adoring owners."
Coming in second place is the Whippet – "loved for their friendly and affectionate nature and famed as being one of the fastest dogs in the world."
The bronze medal for third most spoiled dog breed is the Great Dane. They describe the breed as "gentle and peaceful souls just want to please their owners and make amazing guard dogs."

Turning a little closer to home, the most spoiled dog in the state of Washington is... *drumroll*...
The Shetland Sheepdog!

Interestingly, the most spoiled dogs were also broken down by name. Let's put it this way, if you own a Shetland Sheepdog named Charlie or Lucy and live in the Evergreen State, the odds are pretty good that your pooch eats out of a gold-plated dish and likely sleeps in a Craft-matic Adjustable bed!

Meanwhile, our four-legged friends that answer to "Mangus", "Neko" or "Emmitt" tend to be a bit more self-sufficient.
