Yakima County was awarded a total of $48 million in ARPA funding and received over 150 community proposals.

The November general election results were certified by the Yakima County Canvassing Board on Tuesday making all the results official.

Auditor Charles Ross says when all the counting is over he was expecting a 34% turnout but it's looking more like it'll be close to 32%.

According to state law the seat must be filled by November 15.
