A new year means new beginnings for many. They use this time to set new goals for themselves. Whether it be heath-focused or career-based, a lot can happen in 12 months. If you've set goals for yourself, it looks like you're in the right place as Seattle ranks very high for places where people make goals and stick to them.

Seattle came in fourth place nationally. Not bad! The first three spots belong to San Diego, Scottsdale, Ariz., and San Francisco.

Health resolutions, financial resolutions, school/work resolutions and more made this list what it is.

Our friends in Portland came in 14th place, which isn't bad, either. Especially compared to several others on this list.

Seattle also comes in fourth place for lowest percentage of smokers, so it helps not being around tobacco users if your goal is to stop smoking.

Seattle is also fourth for highest median credit score if you're hoping to clear yourself of debt for your resolution.
