Lost 2Pac ‘Killuminati’ Liner Notes Dissing Dr. Dre, JAY-Z Up for Auction
Tupac Shakur artifacts have become a big money maker on the auction circuit. The latest item to hit the auction block is a real conversation piece.
Auction house Gotta Have Rock and Roll is selling the original liner note to 2Pac’s final album, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. It’s a handwritten attack against his former colleagues as well as rappers on the East Coast he didn’t particularly like.
In the first sentence, 2Pac calls out Jacques “Haitian Jack” Agnant and Walter “King Tut” Johnson for allegedly setting up the 1994 Quad Recording Studios shooting of 1994. He also accuses Diddy ("Puffy" at the time), The Notorious B.I.G., and others of “quietly conspiring my downfall.” He even slams Biggie's wife, Faith Evans, for having "low self-esteem" and "beat up pussy."
'Pac also goes after former Death Row Records founder Dr. Dre for being a "closet homo" and Nas for "not minding his business." The late rapper also takes a swipe at De La Soul calling them "fat washed up bums."
2Pac also throws JAY-Z, Lil' Kim, Mobb Deep and Wendy Williams under the bus as well.
"Now it's time 2 c whose watching' 2 many moviez & whose ready 2 get they cash on 4 real. “WAR TIME! Worldwide, Nationwide, Citywide, Real Niggaz Do Real Things,” he concludes before signing out as Makaveli.
Gotta Have Rock and Roll says that the handwritten liner notes come from a very close family friend of Tupac's and is accompanied by a letter of provenance from this individual. Bidding for this liner note starts at $30,000 and will begin on April 11.
