Kennewick Police responded to a call about an alleged armed male student at Kamiakin High School this morning.

According to KPD's Facebook page, this is how the incident went down and the results of the investigation:

This mid-morning, officers investigated a report of a 15 year-of-age male student who was alleged to have brought a firearm to Kamiakin High School. The school had already found the firearm. Officers assisted the school resource officer in apprehending the suspect student from the classroom. The suspect student tried to run from the classroom he was in, but the officers were able to apprehend him. None of the by-standing students were injured. The suspect student was eventually booked into juvenile for the firearm violation. 20-00875
