New York and New Jersey are getting dumped on in snow and blizzard-like conditions. It doesn't look fun.
Yakima has been through weather conditions like that in the past, where we get all of our snow after Christmas.
While the northeast side of the United States are getting frozen, here in the Northwest, it seems pretty nice.

In fact, today, February 24th, may be the last day of this season where our highs are only in the 40s.

Weather Forecast for Yakima

We're about a month away from the first day of Spring, yet we're about to see spring-like temperatures in the valley.

The next couple of weeks in Yakima to close out February heading into March the Yakima Valley is looking at highs in the upper 50s.

Friday, February 27th, Yakima is slated to have sunshine and a high in the upper 50s. Maybe even 60.

Wouldn't that be something? To have a high of 60 in February in Yakima where we sometimes still have snow on the ground?

Will it be a record high for Yakima?

According to Extreme Weather Watch, the high for Yakima on February 27th was 66 degrees back in 1932.

I don't figure we'll be breaking any records that day, but it'll be nice to know that nice weather is coming our way.

Sure, we've had a lot of rain and not so much snow, but looking at the photos and videos from what New Jersey and New York are experiencing right now, I'll take the rain and leave them to shoveling the driveaway.
