Washington State is home to one city that landed in the top 5 cities more targeted by burglars.

Home insurance website Compare the Market has discovered that certain city in Washington State came in 3rd place for city with most targeted by burglars.
First place goes to Houston, TX with 13,456 reported cases of breaking & entering / burglaries.
2nd is New York, NY with 13,188 cases.
Then our beloved Washington State is home to Seattle who had a reported 8752 burglaries or breaking & entering cases.

Despite this, Washington State has gone down significantly in reported cases from last year compared to this year.
In Washington in 2025 they had a reported 14,689 cases of burglary while 2026, so far, has 5,016.
That shows a -66% which is a huge improvement compared to going up in burlaries which many states already have in the United States.
No matter which way you twist it, make sure your place is secured from would-be thieves trying to get into your stuff and take what isn't theirs.
