
Juneteenth Festival, Prosser Pride Grapes & Glitter, and Sprint Boat Racing: 3 Fun Things to Do in Yakima This Weekend
The weekend of June 12th thru 14th is packed with activities to do all over the Upper and Lower Yakima Valley, including celebrating two holidays and sprint boat races.
On Friday, June 12th, the town of Prosser celebrates Pride Weekend with a glitzy dance party, the entire community is invited to celebrate the annual Juneteenth holiday in the park, and American Sprint Boat Racing teams will welcome hundreds of spectators to come watch sprint boats go around the watercourse at the fairgrounds.

Grapes & Glitter in Prosser

Friday, June 12th at 6 p.m. Dress to the nines (or come as you are) to celebrate the first-ever Pride event held in Prosser! Presented by PFLAG. Tickets are $85 at the door.

Juneteenth Yakima
- MLK Jr. Park
- S 8th St
Saturday, June 13th at 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. A free event featuring live music, food vendors, resource booths, and fellowship. Special performances by Seattle artist, Tiffany Wilson!

American Sprint Boat Racing at the Yakima Fairgrounds
- State Fair Park
- 1301 S Fair Ave
It's being called the "Talladega of Yakima"! View sprint boats going around the water track behind the Sundome at high speeds. Drivers only get 24 hours to memorize the course, and they must rely on their navigators to tell them which way to turn. High-adrenaline fun for the whole family.
Races are on Saturday and Sunday (June 13th and 14th). Tickets are available by the day or a 2-Day pass online and at the box office. Parking is $12.75 per carload if you purchase a pass online.
