How Cats Impacted My Life!
I’ve had 3 cats in my family, and even though I’m a dog person, I would not trade my time and memories of my feline family members for anything.
A former relationship came with a cat named Figaro, and while we were together, we rescued Rayne from a woodpile in the middle of winter. Even though that relationship didn’t work out, the cats were brother and sister and stayed with me for the rest of their lives.
My 3rd cat (named Shadow) chose me. For several years, I lived out on Summitview Ext. in Yakima (right in the middle of some orchards. One day, I started seeing a black “Shadow” like thing running outside in and out of my garage. After several weeks, I realized it was a cat, and several more weeks later, she finally accepted me and became a great farm cat.
So many memories, laughs, smiles, and endless love came from those pets. And thanks to the Yakima Valley Library and the Yakima Humane Society, you’re getting the opportunity to embark on the same kind of adventure that I did.
“Join us at the Kitty Café for a cozy beverage and the chance to meet adoptable cats from the Yakima Humane Society. Their staff will be on hand to answer questions – come relax, read, and maybe find your new feline friend!”
