Can You Help Those, Who Help Others In The Yakima Valley?
It's the season for giving, and people have gave a lot this year. Not just financially, but with their time and support. Things are tight and rough on wallets everywhere, but for people who have absolutely nothing, you can not imagine the struggle. Luckily groups like The Salvation Army are here to help, but they too are struggling, and that's where you can help those who help others.
The Salvation Army kicked off their Red Kettle Campaign last last month to help needy families in the Yakima Valley. As of Wednesday night, with 4 days to go in their campaign, they are at a short fall of $50,000.
The number of people in need are increasing and the Salvation Army offers assistance and serves our community year round, and they do that with your help and donation.
The Salvation Army helps by giving opportunities for youths through after school programs, summer day camps, weekly youth activities as well as combating poverty and starvation throughout the valley.
"With our communities support, we can bridge the gap and continue services without interruption."
- Lisa Sargent, The Salvation Army Yakima
