New Yakima Shop Serves Up Hot, Gooey Cheese Zombies
The Cheese Zombie, a “monster made of mozzarella” around the world, but a delicious snack and a Yakima Valley delicacy to those who know better. And there’s a brand new place that is serving them up hot and ready in the heart of Yakima! We have the details for you below.
Where Can You Get A Great Cheese Zombie?
There are a plethora of places in Yakima that claim to have the best Cheese Zombie, and in my opinion, they are all correct!
As long as you have the right kind of cheese, amazing bread, and your own special touch, it can be great! Java Heaven, Viera’s Bakery, and Bron Yr Aur Brewing Co (Naches) are some of my favorites to grab some gooeyness of cheesy awesomeness, and now we can add a new place to get our cheese on!
Mayito’s In Yakima
On the corner of Walnut Street and 5th Avenue, sharing the building with Encore Books at 111 S 5th Ave., you can find Mayito’s. A brand new (having their soft opening on August 29th) drink and sandwich shop that is just getting started, but based on the taste in the drinks and zombies I bought and enjoyed, they’ll be around for the long haul.
