IRS Phone Scam

With the Stimulus Checks coming to your bank accounts soon, the scams are popping up big time! One major phone scam, in particular has been reported. Long story short, the scammers are calling, pretending to be from the IRS, requesting your bank account number so that your stimulus check can be properly deposited. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION! Federal aid will be direct deposited in the account you used for previous tax returns, or be sent to you via check. The IRS WILL NOT CALL YOU! Don't fall victim to this latest scam. In fact, unless you initiated the contact, never give any personal information over the phone.
