How Do You Calculate Wind Chill?
With a winter storm whipping through the valley, subfreezing temperatures can turn downright uncomfortable — even deadly — when you add in the wind chill. But unless you’re planning to camp out in front of The Weather Channel all day, how can you guess the wind chill on a blustery day?
Easy!
The National Weather Service has an online calculator right here. If you know the approximate temperature and wind speed, the calculator will do the rest.
Give it a try. (Other than shoveling snow, what else do you have to do today?)
