Gov. Inslee To Announces Construction Workers Back On The Job
Gov. Jay Inslee announced Friday morning that the Washington states construction workers will be back on the job soon. 1,200 workers signed pledges to comply with regulations with the hopes designed to curb transmission of COVID. As a reference, the state of Washington is losing $23 Million a day to with lost wages, to a total of nearly $700 Million since quarantine.
Proposed job site regualtions include low risk work environments and continued social distancing. Health Care workers will monitor worksites to ensure safty for all. If requirment s are not met, job sites will be at risk for shut downs.
When Gov. Inslee issued the states Stay At Home Order in March, it was viewed as some to be extreme as 45 other states deemed private construction workers essential. The state of Washington did not.
Workers are expected to be back on the job as soon as Monday.
