A list of Yakima's "Helping Organizations" need a little help themselves  Time to get your volunteer on!  Junior League of Yakima (JLY) presents the 4th Annual JLY EMPOWERS  Volunteer-a-thon and fundraising event on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

In connection with National Volunteer Week, April 7-13, Junior League members and community volunteers will work together to complete community service projects for nonprofit organizations throughout Yakima.

These half- day projects will give a boost to the operations of : Yakima Arboretum, Habitat for Humanity, La Casa Hogar, People for People/Meals-On-Wheels, Rod’s House, Salvation Army, Wags to Riches Animal Rescue, Yakima Union Gospel Mission, and YWCA.

JLY has been making an impact in the community since 1934 and you can help in this latest effort. The registration fee is $5.00 and you can sign up at https:// go.rallyup.com/6452ee.

New this year, all volunteers are invited to a kick-off breakfast at 8:00a.m. at Chesterly Park, 3606 River Rd, Yakima, WA 98902.
