It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, and although days are shorter and nights are longer, holiday lights and decorations can be seen fired up all over the Yakima Valley.

For the second year in a row, we've teamed up with Coca-Cola of Yakima and Tri-Cities to encourage valley residents to 'Light Up Yakima'. Aside from adding to the holiday joy this season, fabulous displays at your home could earn you a $500 Visa Gift Card.

Who Won Light Up Yakima 2021 Lights Display Contest?

We've seen an incredible amount of festive lights displayed throughout the Yakima Valley this year. A big thank you to everyone who entered, but, among the entries, one stood head & shoulders above the rest. For the second year in a row, Drew Barber's display at 7301 Perry Street in Yakima has been selected 2021 Champ!

What Does the Winner of Light Up Yakima Receive?

Drew picks up a $500 Visa Gift Card for his efforts. He informs us that this year his display boasts lights in excess of 350,000. Drew also says there are more inflatables, more reindeer, and more lights upfront that are dedicated to increasing holiday cheer when you drive by. The extra touches of the roof being entirely engulfed in blue lights, the lighted curbs, the shooting star, and an imaginative assortment of festive inflatables made this display extra special.

Is it Too Late to Enter Light Up Yakima?

For 2021, yes. However, we've seen dozens of amazing displays all over town who didn't enter the contest this year. If that's you, mark your calendars and plan on entering next year for the 2022 edition. We're sure Drew will be cooking up some new ideas too!
