Baby Joel’s Three Favorite Things About Yakima

After nearly a year, Yakima has become home to me!

Getting through the harsh winter weather was a struggle, to say the least, but there are many things that I have come to love about Yakima:

• Mexican food.
• Close proximity to all my needs.
• And last but not least, THE SUNSHINE.

That sunshine was just glaring at me yesterday and today. A couple of co-workers had given me some information about our great city.

One said, "The sunshine is one of the reasons that we call this 'The Palm Springs of Washington.' " Another said, "This is why I love it here -- we get a fair amount of sunshine per year, around 242 days and that is not bad."
