5 Things to Know About the 2019 Central Washington State Fair

Can you believe it's already that time of year again for the Central Washington State Fair?

Here at MEGA 99.3, we are pumped about getting some of our favorite fair foods and viewing all of the agricultural and art exhibits at the fair, which runs Friday, September 20th thru Sunday, September 29th.

We are especially excited to give away fair admission, parking and reserved seats to the Night Ranger concert on September 26th!

Our Fair Trivia contest begins on Thursday, September 19th thru Wednesday, September 25th.

Here's how our contest will work: There will be one daily trivia question about the fair each weekday morning at 6:20. (Don't fret if you miss hearing the daily trivia question at 6:20 a.m. because the same question will be repeated at 7:20 and 8:20, too.)

Next, you simply open up our mobile app, select "send MEGA a message" on the app then type in your answer to the trivia question. A random winner will be selected in the 9 o'clock hour each morning.

Mascots
The fair has two new mascots: Snickle and Fritz. I don't know what kind of furry creatures they are meant to be, but one looks like a mop that magically came to life and the other one looks like a bunch of blankets that got into a fist fight with some other blankets inside of a dryer.

The Big Show
The concert that we here at MEGA are excited about is the '80's band, Night Ranger, who will take the U.S. Cellular® stage on Thursday, September 26th at 7 p.m. Stadium seating is free with paid fair admission, but if you want to sit closer to the stage, treat yourself with a reserved seat ($24 and $34).

How Much Are the Unlimited Ride Wristbands?
If you want to get an unlimited carnival ride wristband, you hurry up and buy it for $28 before the pre-sale deadline ends on Thursday, September 19th at 11 p.m. Wristbands will then be $30 a pop for weekdays and $35 each on Fridays thru Sundays.
Warning: If you are going to buy a pre-sale unlimited carnival wristband online, you will get hit with an additional $4.25 fee if you buy it online, so it is best to get your wristband at one of these advance outlet locations.

Foods
There are a few foods that I always crave when I get to the Central Washington State Fair: Filipino food (in particular, the noodles), corn dog with a ton of mustard, funnel cake (topped with whipped cream and strawberry sauce), and a slice of pizza!

The Theme
The theme for the 2019 Central Washington State Fair is "Endless Fun".
