5 Rad and Fun Things to Do on a Weekend in Seattle with Kids
This list just might knock your kid's socks off! That's the goal I'm looking for. You see, I have a 10-year old child, Willow is her name, and she is very picky about food and things to do. I wonder where she gets it from, 'cause it certainly ain't from me! (Okay, that's a lie!)
I decided to make a weekend of it for us both in Seattle. Even though I have lived in the Yakima Valley since 2002, I haven't really had the time I wish for to EXPLORE the city, let alone explore much of it with a young child in tow.
A friend of mine used to live there and she has two boys who are around the same age as Willow so she texted me some AMAZING suggestions of things we can both enjoy doing in Seattle, so I thought I'd share them with you! I am a Virgo so by nature I like to have my trips PLANNED OUT IN ADVANCE, so I finished typing up my itinerary just a few moments ago. Here's what I've got:
1. PEDAL BOATS
7251 E. Greenlake Dr, Seattle, WA
Green Lake Boathouse: Rental is $18 an hour before noon and $25 an hour after that. Open 9am to 6pm on weekends.
2. CONVEYOR BELT SUSHI

266 116th Ave NE, Bellevue, WA
Kura Sushi: located in Bellevue. The menu looks DIVINE!
3. WATER TAXI
801 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA
Seattle Water Taxi: park your car and take the kid(s) out for a nice ride on the water. Then explore around once you reach the shores and head back. A relaxing trip, yet fun!
4. AMAZON GO STORE
I am looking forward to this itinerary excursion, mostly to know what it feels like to pick up something from the store and walk out without paying! Of course, your debit/credit card will automatically be charged via the Amazon Go app, so it's not like you are stealing anything at all. Believe me, they will charge you for whatever you pick up in your hands!
5. CUPCAKES!
Many locations but here's one you can put down: 2052 NW Market St, Seattle, WA 98107
Cupcake Royale serves espresso, ice cream, and of course, CUPCAKES!
