What an accomplishment! Lewis and Clark Middle School's band and orchestra earned a perfect score at a Yakima Valley Music Educators Association competition held at Highland High School today (April 18). It's the first time a band has ever scored 100 percent at a YVMEA competition.Nineteen bands competed, and all did a fantastic job. But Lewis and Clark outshone them all!

Tammi Beam, leader of the band and orchestra, told her colleagues about it in an email:

"There wasn't one tiny thing they could have done better. They were PERFECT!" The students arrived back to the school to great fanfare plus a pizza and pop party. This is the first perfect 100/100 in YVMEA (Yakima Valley Music Educators Association) contest history.

Congratulations to Lewis and Clark for a musical job well done!
