I admit it. I'm old school. My kids make fun of me, but I don't care.

I love going to the store to purchase a CD from one of my favorites artists that I've been impatiently waiting for. Tearing off the the cellophane wrapping, opening the CD and removing the cover that contains the words to songs along with pictures. I love the smell of the new CD!

Well, those days may soon be gone for me. Retailer Best Buy will stop selling CDs on July 1. Target is also reportedly threatening to stop carrying CDs if they can’t be sold on consignment basis, meaning it wants labels to take the inventory risk for unsold CDs.

Amazon might be the only way I can purchase my CDs. Or I might have to conform to the changing times and start downloading my music.

I can only hope that someday in the future CDs make a comeback like vinyl. OK, that might be a reach.

Will the end of CDs upset you?
