It seems like everyone has an opinion about Kanye West. Daytime talk show queen Wendy Williams recently added her two cents on the topic of Yeezy.

During a Q&A session for New York Magazine’s Vulture Festival on Saturday (May 19), Williams expressed concern for West’s well-being.

“I will tell you, I feel very, very bad for Kanye West,” she told the audience, according to Page Six. “He’s not well and that is the very foundation of everything he says.”

Earlier this month, West found himself in the deep end of the sunken place following his pro-Trump tweets and expressing support for conservative YouTuber Candace Owens. Then the Grammy-winning rapper-producer went on TMZ Live and said that “slavery was a choice” and revealed that he was once addicted to opioids and had liposuction.

Williams believes that West’s problems stem from the tragic loss of his mother, Dr. Donda West, in 2007 and the fact that his father has been absent in his life.

“His father is nowhere in the picture, his mom passed away trying to beautify herself to be a stage mom and I’m not going to talk about his wife, his family or anything like that but what I will tell you is that he’s not well,” she told the rapt crowd.

“Kanye is in the throws,” Williams continued. “I think that mental illness is something that is so real.”

“The war on drugs is very, very real, and the war on helping people with mental illness is very, very real,” she added.
