UPDATE: The Harman Center will reopen for its regular hours Thursday morning (Dec. 12), according to a Wednesday afternoon release from the city of Yakima.

You can't read, dance, exercise, play cards, visit or do any of the other things folks do at the city of Yakima’s Harman Center without the availability of a glass of water or a flush in the loo.

The Harman Center, 101 N. 65th Ave., is closed due to water line repairs underway by the Nob Hill Water Association.

As a result, all activities are canceled at the Harman Center and there will be no lunch served today due to the water outage.  The repairs are affecting an area between Summitview and Chestnut avenues served by the Nob Hill Water Association.

The city says an update will be provided later, when water is restored or a time frame for the water line repairs becomes available.
