Salvation Army officials say they're still hoping for gifts for older kids 14-17
Lisa Sargent Community Relations & Outreach Program Manager at the Salvation Army says the Friday event was a huge help but they're still collecting toys in Toys for Tots boxes located throughout the community including here at our studios at 4010 Summitview. Sargent says they're still hoping for items for older kids ages 14-17-years-old. Some things to think about when you are shopping for those older kids? Sargent says think about make up, jewelry, movie passes, basketballs, soccer balls, footballs or baseballs.
You can volunteer to help with food and toy boxes call the Salvation Army Today
Sargent says they're also looking for volunteers needed Wednesday starting at 9:00 am to help finalize food boxes and bag toys for distribution.
If you're interested in helping call the Yakima Salvation Army at 823.1819 help on Wednesday or any other day during the Christmas season.
