If you want to attend the Tillamook Cheese Factory one last time, you have between now and March 5. Yes, that's this Sunday.

Before you freak out too much, know that a brand new visitor's center is slated to open in the Summer of 2018.

As much as I love the original location as it has become an almost-annual tradition for my family and I to go there, I will admit that parking is horrendous and it's almost elbow-to-elbow as far as going in and waiting for an ice cream cone. As worth it as it is, I'm glad a new center is set to launch.

Unfortunately, that means we can't visit this year. There is a make-shift visitor's center set to open which apparently still has the shopping and ice cream and more, but it's just not the same. Good news for Blue Heron, I suppose, located just a mile south of the Tillamook Cheese Factory.

The other good news is even though this center is closing and being demolished, the creamery will continue to go so you can still expect to see your favorite Tillamook cheeses and more on store shelves.
