I'm not sure if JK Rowling knew how huge Harry Potter would be when she starting writing. There's no way she could have known the impact she would have on fans literally around the world. Even though the epic tales of Harry Potter ended years ago, the fandom of Potterheads will pretty much live on forever.

The movies as well as the books (maybe even more so) are still wildly popular and Harry Potter themed events seem to sell out all over the place. One such Potter event is happening this weekend in Yakima. The Yakima Symphony Orchestra (YSO) is presenting “The Magical Music of Harry Potter” on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre!

The program features the music from the Harry Potter films and each film will be introduced with a short synopsis from the stage by a winner of the YSO’s Harry Potter Storytelling Contest. While the YSO performs art work from their Harry Potter Artwork submissions will be shown.

Unfortunately, this amazing event is already sold out, but if you have tickets, you are encourage to dress as your fave Harry Potter character! So let  your HP freak flag fly this weekend and have a blast. If you see a bunch of wizard walking around town, at least now you'll know why!
