The Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse Happens Today … But We Won’t See It
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, Earth and the moon line up perfectly. The moon turns red because sunlight is deflected through Earth’s atmosphere.
Earth will pass between the sun and the moon for one hour and 43 minutes today … but unfortunately for us in Yakima and everyone in North America, it’ll happen during daylight hours so we won’t see it. Bummer! I love this kind of stuff.
