The "ball" was in the Chamber of Commerce's court.  The question - Who to select for honoring with Yakima's Ted Robertson Award.  The Past Board Presidents/Chairs of the Chamber are tasked with making the call  - who best represents inspiring leadership, achievement and commitment to the improvement of our community as business people and citizens of the Yakima Valley.

It is always an interesting process because there always seems to be a number of outstanding community members deserving of the award and it always seems they make a choice that makes so much sense.  The Chamber has done it again, with the  announcement of John Bauel as the 2019 recipient.

John Baule graduated from the University of Dubuque with a B.A. in Mathematics & Physics. John also has a MA in History Museum Studies from Loras College and a Mini- MBA in Non-Profit Management. John moved to Yakima in 1992 to become the Director of the Yakima Valley Museum.

John has served on boards for; Downtown Association of Yakima, Yakima Valley Visitors & Convention Bureau, and the Yakima Valley Rotary Club. He has also provided leadership to many local organizations.
The award event is November 7th.
