Capt. Jay Seely says it could be another long summer of gang related shootings

The bodies were found between March 16 and May 11.

The body of a 28-year-old Sunnyside man has been found near an irrigation canal in Sunnyside.

Troopers have been busy with deadly crashes over the last two years. They say in 2021 670 fatal crashes were reported.

It's a serious problem. State officials estimate about 30 times a year a trooper or a vehicle is struck on the side of the road while Troopers are speaking to other drivers

Detectives say a 44-year-old man from Outlook was killed at the intersection of Price and Outlook Roads in Outlook

The investigation continues Today by the Yakima Valley Special Investigative Unit.

Authorities say the officer was called to the 1400 block of South 8th Street in Sunnyside at about 8:00 pm where the officer was shot.

Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic says the only eyewitness to the crime isn't available.
