Next Tuesday the November 3 general election will be certified and all the counting will be officially over. All the ballots were counted in Yakima County last week with a turnout of 76%, the lowest in the state. After the election is certified on November 24, new Yakima County Commissioner Amanda McKinney will be sworn into the office in Yakima County Superior Court. That means next Wednesday Yakima will have two new County Commissioners on the job. LaDon Linde, who was appointed to the District 3 seat earlier this month was sworn into office last week.  Linde replaces Norm Childress who died in September.

Not a lot of business will get done next week since the day after McKinney is sworn into office it's Thanksgiving. But the county board will be back to work after the Thanksgiving holiday.
